For nearly 25 years, Dr. Brooks has helped people recover from debilitating chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, and trauma — pioneering a whole-person, mind-body approach to medicine in the red rock of Southern Utah.
Dr. Daren Brooks studied physical fitness and health psychology at Brigham Young University, graduating valedictorian with a master’s degree before attending medical school and practicing as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Over his career he became a multi-disciplined expert in gerontology, diet and nutrition, stress management, and mind-body medicine.
After making it through a difficult mental and physical recovery of his own, Daren founded The Bridge with a mission to help people recover from debilitating mental and physical illness. For nearly 25 years, he and his expert staff have produced remarkable results — and he is quick to credit the program’s success to the sincere hearts and hands of the team who help people find a better way to think, feel, and live.
Beyond the clinic, Daren has spent much of his career teaching health science and mind-body medicine at universities, and has held consulting contracts with organizations including IBM, Kodak, Cisco, and Coca-Cola. He also consulted regularly with NASA, training astronauts and space-center personnel in mind-body health.
An accomplished endurance athlete, he has completed multiple long-distance and ultra-distance events and played a key role in bringing Ironman to his hometown of St. George, Utah. He’s a lifelong inventor who holds multiple U.S. patents, and loves the outdoors, flying, and time with his family and his Bridge family.
Dr. Brooks treats the person, not just the symptom — integrating the science of the body with the psychology of the mind to help people who haven’t found answers elsewhere.
Decades of clinical and academic work in how the nervous system, stress, and thought patterns shape physical health — and how to retrain them.
A multi-disciplined lens spanning gerontology, nutrition, and stress physiology to look beyond symptoms to what’s driving them.
